My style of art is simplistic…I am self-taught and create my art on the computer. I know that my art may not appeal to everyone, but it sells, so it is appealing to someone! But, still, there are many out there that are so very, very talented and I wondered to myself on day what gave me the “right” to submit my art to the public for viewing and in hopes of selling it. In that wonderment, these words came to me and my confidence in my art soared! If you are an artist and, for any reason, have any doubts about your art, I hope my personal quote can help your confidence to soar as well!
The beautiful thing about art is that it is not bound by one persons ideal… It is interpretive. While the artist may put his/her thoughts, and ideas, on canvas, or any type of surface, he/she knows that not everyone will see with their eyes, and/or mind, what the artist has seen and created… But the beauty of the piece, for the artist, will remain and will, hopefully, transmit to those that have laid eyes upon it, even if their interpretations of the piece are not the same. ~Gina Manley

This past Sunday, 10-10-10, was my 46th birthday and I celebrated it with my family at a festival in Greenville, South Carolina. Time was also spent at Falls Park and around the River Place area of Greenville. Several pictures were taken and I have uploaded a few of those into my Photography Gallery at Fine Art America. This is a fun Christmas card to send to your family and friends! Just insert your very own image in place of my sample image and give your loved ones something special!
The sample image is of my own 5 children! That picture was taken in November of 2008 as the Christmas Parade in our hometown was nearing its end. My dark haired daughter was a high school senior at the time and a member of the marching band. The band led off the parade and, when they reached the end, all the kids dispersed to find their families. Instrument cases were not brought to the parade so that is why she is posing with her bass clarinet! LOL I just wish she hadn’t already changed out of her band uniform before this was taken!

I have been playing around in one of my graphics programs today to see what I could do with public domain images, clipart, personal images, and such as that and this is one thing that came out of it … A Ghoul For You (Halloween card) -
I like it! And my kids have given it high marks for creep factor! Gotta love that! Right??
